Do you get a little nervous when you are hammering finishing nails into molding? Are you afraid that you might miss and put a dent in the molding? Here's a way to keep that from happening. Take a thin piece of wood, and bore a hole in the end of it. Slip the hole over the nail and then go ahead and hammer directly on the wood "guard". If you miss, you will hit the guard instead of the molding. Remove the guard to finish off with a nail set.
