Ron prepared some fast setting, five minute epoxy and had Jonathan dab some on the end of the axle just about a quarter of an inch from the end.
They put the axle into the hole and shoved it all the way in.
They used a piece of tape as a clamp, to hold the wheel in position while the epoxy set.
While they were waiting for the epoxy to dry, Jonathan drilled holes in the front of the storage unit, through which they would install the drawer pulls.
Drawer pulls:
Jonathan held the drawer pulls in position while Ron inserted the screws from the inside of the drawers into the pulls, securing them in place.
Ron and Jonathan placed the new storage unit on the floor and gave it a test roll.
RESULTS:
The storage unit that Ron and Jonathan created was relatively easy to make and was a particularly practical project as well. Because it was built on wheels and slid out from under the bed so easily, Jonathan would never have to worry about losing anything under his bed again.
